Human Pictures???? I Know....amazing!
It took a lot of begging to convince Brad to go outside on the grass so I could practice taking a few pictures of an actual human being (instead of the dogs) in the overcast light. I told him he could just keep reading his magazine and I wouldn't bother him but of course, it didn't take long before I started calling his name and asking him to show me a smile. He obliged a few times and then his smile turned to more of a.....well, I'm not sure what that last facial expression is, but I still kinda like it.....HAHA.
I was actually amazed. When I first took this pictures, I about threw my camera out the door when I saw them on my computer. Even though I'd used an external light meter, his skin was so dark red and it looked horrible. I was ready to throw them all out but figured I'd try playing with them. Let me tell you, levels and curves are my BEST FRIENDS!!! I've used them plenty of times before but the difference it made on these photos was like night/day.
Now I just gotta somehow convince him to comb his hair or wear some clothes outside of his work clothes for the next time!!! YEAH RIGHT!

The last photo really says it all, our family suffers as a result of our passion. Beautiful photograpy as always Audrey and I have to agree about the levels and curves, makes a huge difference!
I think you did great!
I was wondering where you got your blog template and if you're willing to share? LOL I am sick of using a blogger template and I'd love to add the slideshows you use but no idea if I can just add them to my current template?
not sure if you can see my blog (if that helps to know it) but it's http://sebastianwesley.blogspot.com
I think you're doing a great job and your pictures are amazing - LOVE is face in that last one :)
Sorry I haven't been around much!! I LOVE those photos girl!! lol~especially that last one!! You're too good with that camera!
You were so sweet to stop by my blog (sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one looking at that site!) that I had to take a peek at yours! I love these photos you took of your hubby! Especially the first one. I completely relate to your frustration with photography. Some days I just get it.. other times things happen (focus is off, exposure isn't right) and I am so bummed!
I think you do great work and your color is NOT overdone! You have a good eye and your compositions are great!
Sorry - forgot to leave my name on that last comment!
