Dieting SUCKS
Amazingly enough, I have stayed on it....trying to eat healthier. I had probably been watching my eating for about 2 weeks when my 2 sisters, mom and myself decided to do our own version of "the biggest loser" although my 2 sisters are skinny already. So we weighed ourselves and signed the contract.....winner gets $100!!!
That was 2 weeks ago. I had high hopes that I had lost at least 4-6 pounds and was horrified when I got on the scale and hadn't lost a stinkin' pound. How disappointing!! I'm still hard at it....but dieting sucks!!!
On the brighter side of things, our dodgeball league started!! What an adrenaline rush!!! We signed up for competitive and it looks like we're the only coed team in the league...the rest are all mens. Let me tell you, the testosterone is out of control in this sport. I got in a yelling match with a guy who I obviously nailed with a ball. He looked up at the refs to see if they'd seen it and then picked up a ball to start throwing again. I had to tell him to get off the court which only fueled his manly attitude, being embarrassed by a girl who threw him out taboot. Then, after the game he comes up and apologizes telling me that I did get him. FRUSTRATING AS HECK but I love it!!! For any of you looking for a little more excitement in the evenings, you've gotta try it.
I've been outta the blogging scene the last few weeks. Between volleyball and softball, 4 out of my 5 nights are pretty much out the window! If I wasn't able to do some scrapbookin' at work, I don't know if I'd ever do it!
I'm heading to Vegas the first weekend of March for a huge softball tourney and boy am I nervous. It'll be the second time EVER that I've flown and I get intimidated just going down to Denver so this will be a HUGE change. I'm not sure what clothes to pack, how much money to bring, I'm feelin' like a lost little puppy! Only excited still....

UGH...dieting. What a dirty word!! I've been reduced to wearing sweats to work cause I've grown out of all my jeans!! How in the heck did that happen???
Audrey! You are a trooper, I would be such a chicken playing dodge ball with a bunch of men. You're my HERO! LOL
Hey Audrey, it feels like I'm stalking you, lol! First at ilovephotography and now here, but I really did just find your blog, lol! I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to dieting, I just started Tuesday and I would really love to throw a ball at someone right now (what a great stress relief, that dodgeball). I don't think we have any leagues around here though.
Wow Audrey, you've got so much sport going on in your life. Good luck on the contract with your mum and sisters and for the trip down to Vegas, how exciting!
Well.... I'm with ya on the dieting thing... it does suck... But, I'm here cheering you on... just the same... And as for the Vegas trip! HOLY WOW! that sounds so exciting... I'd be a little nervous too but yeah! Have tons of fun! :-)
Here's hoping you WIN ... think of all the digikits you can buy with $100, lol! :)
Good for you Audrey, keep up the awesome work. I KNOW I should be out there getting some exercise (I am using the excuse that there is still too much snow on the ground, then I'll use the excuse that it is too hot out, lol). Thanks for the motivation girl and keep up the good work, don't be frustrated by the scale (zero loss means no gain, it’s a good thing really!!!).
Oh how I would love to watch you play dodge ball, we used to play it as warm up fun in our martial arts classes and oh yeah, for "fun" it got pretty competitive some times (I keep having visions of the movie "Dodgeball" in my head, lol). Keep it up girl!!!
Dodgeball sounds crazy, Audrey!! You have got to take some pics of that!
