Dashing through the "powdered milk..."
We've had Dash for exactly one week today and we've officially gone through our first container of puppy formula already!! It seems like every time I pick him up to feed him, he's gained more weight, his hair has gotten a little longer and he's fitting into his name even more. I forget how often a 3 week old puppy needs to pee but he's smart enough that if we're holding him, he'll start getting restless. That's my cue. And like clockwork, he's on the puppy potty pad again.
The day after we brought him home, I started getting sick. I'm not sure if it's possible to get sick from a puppy (he's on antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection) or not but that's what I've been telling everyone. Either that or my body is just exhausted from getting up 4 times a night. Either way, I wouldn't trade this for anything. I've definitely really bonded with him already and am debating what I'm going to do when he hits 6 weeks and the Humane Society starts calling for me to bring him back. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, I'm just enjoying every moment.
