ARRRRGGGGHHHHH.....
Does anyone else ever get completely frustrated with photography? Especially after looking at other people's amazing pictures? Well, that's me!!! I've been reading book after book but I just feel like I'm not moving forward much. I feel like my pictures all start to look the same. I want the pictures that make people say WOW but I just haven't gotten there yet. What does it take? Sometimes I take a picture and think it's the one, but then I get it on my computer and it looks horrible. Part of my problem is that I view my pictures on two different computer monitors (one at work, one at home). And though I've used Spyder 2 to calibrate my monitors, they both look very different in both contrast and color. At home, I think I've nailed the color but then I get to work and it looks desaturated. I'm not sure which one is more accurate.
I struggle w/ focus too. Especially w/ the dogs. When I want a good close-up of the dogs, if I focus on the eyes, the nose is blurry and visa-versa.
So I'm going to post some recent pictures....any cc is welcome. Criticize, critique, play with them, whatever. If you've got tips or suggestions, please feel free to share the wealth.

Really good!
I'm thinking these are pretty gorgeous, Audrey, lol! What works for me is to take heaps and HEAPS of photos, and hope I strike it lucky. I'm going to get one of my technique books out today and do some reading ... :)
How on earth could these look even better????? They're gorgeous! Sigh...I really, really wish I could get my moniter calibrated the right way. What I print isn't always what I see on screen.
Ummm... Audrey? I think your photography is amazing! You have a great eye! And I don't think the pics are overdone. (Although trust me - I know EXACTLY how you feel!) I've been browsing photog sites and I am more than a bit intimidated/depressed, lol! I feel like I'm never going to get there! Anyway, good luck and stay encouraged! I love your stuff!
